Mill Hill Golf Club, London

Mill Hill Golf Club is Situated in North London. Mill Hill Golf Club has the best practice facilities in Middx with a small driving range, chipping and putting areas and a practice bunker.

The course was opened for play in 1927. It was designed by J F Abercrombie and remodelled in 1931 by H S Colt. In 1930 the owner, acting through an agent, sold the Club to Hendon Council (now part of the London Borough of Barnet) amid considerable controversy. In 1939 the name of the Club was changed to Mill Hill Golf Club. In 1944 Mill Hill Golf Club Limited was formed. The Board of the Company controlled the finances of the Club while the General Committee was responsible for golf and social matters.

London Scottish Golf Club, London

London Scottish Golf Club is 18-hole golf course. The Golf Club is sited on gravel, so the course drains fantastically well and never has temporary greens. The grade II listed wood-panelled clubhouse is one of the few in Britain that remains from the Victorian era.

Originally consisting of seven holes around the windmill, the course was redesigned and extended by the club professional Tom Dunn in 1871, becoming one of the first ever 18-hole links. The course is highly accessible, with great parking facilities.

Highgate Golf Club, London

Highgate Golf Club is the closest 18 hole course to London. Highgate golf club has a long history of attracting top quality golfers to the Club and has a good standing with university golf.

The Course

Highgate golf club opened in 1904, course was originally designed by C.S. The course currently measures 6,015 yards with a par and standard scratch of 69 with the ladies at just over 5,400 yards with par 72 standard scratch 72.

Visitors

Although a private members’ club, non-members with a handicap are welcome Monday to Friday, or at weekends. Green fees are £45 for 18-holes, or £75 for the day.

Highgate does not book individual tee times but visitors are welcome midweek after 9.30am except on Wednesday mornings until after midday.

Hendon Golf Club, London

Hendon Golf Club located just 9 miles from the centre of London.
It was considered one of the best in the country when was built in 1965. The Club has Juniors, Ladies and Seniors Section.

The course was designed in 1925 by Henry Colt. At Hendon Golf Club, golfer can enjoy his round in pleasant, peaceful surroundings amongst a host of fine trees – English Oaks, Silver Birches, Willows, Poplars, Cypresses, Prunus and some excellent examples of Hornbeam. A feature of the hole is a watercourse crossing the fairway about a 100 yards from the green with an attractive stone bridge spanning it.

Hampstead Golf Club, London

Hampstead Golf Club was founded in 1893 and is one of the recognised 9-hole course in the London (North London) and has a membership of more than 500 and membership (7 or 5 day) is open to both men and ladies. The course of Hampstead Golf club was laid out by the well-known Scottish course designer Tom Dunn.

The course is 5,812 yards in length off the men’s medal tees with a par of 68. The ladies medal tees provide a 5,368 yard test with a par of 72. The classic parkland layout consists of seven par 4s and two par 3s.
